Terms
Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Groworth's operator on how the service may be used. We have written them so that a human being can read and understand them, not only a lawyer — every section opens with an "In short:" line. By creating an account or using Groworth you agree to these terms; if you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
1.Who we are and what these terms cover
In short: groworth.xyz is run by its owner in Latvia; these terms cover everything you do on the Groworth site and in the app.
The Groworth service (the site groworth.xyz and the application available on it, hereinafter — "the Service") is operated by:
SIA Appmeway, reg. No. 40103588483, Mēness iela 16-8, Riga, LV-1013, Latvia
Hereinafter — "we" or "Groworth". "You" are the person using the Service. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement on the use of the Service. The Privacy Policy describes how we process your data and is an integral part of these terms.
2.What Groworth is
In short: a budgeting and personal finance tracking tool with a motivation mechanic (XP and levels). Tracking — yes. Advice on what to buy or sell — no.
Groworth is a personal finance tracking and planning tool. It lets you:
- record and categorise income and expenses — manually or by importing a bank statement in CSV format;
- set budget limits and follow how you are doing against them;
- set a financial goal and see your progress toward it;
- track accounts, assets, liabilities and an investment portfolio, and see your net worth;
- calculate debt payoff schedules from the numbers you enter yourself;
- collect XP (experience points) and levels for carrying out your money decisions — a motivation mechanic that reflects your own progress toward your own goal.
The Service works with the data you enter yourself. We do not guarantee or verify the accuracy of that data — the calculations are only as accurate as the numbers entered.
4.Your account and its security
In short: one account — one person, at least 18 years old. Your password is your responsibility; 2FA is a good idea.
- The account is personal and intended for one person. Do not give your sign-in details to others and do not use another person's account.
- The Service is intended for persons aged 18 and over. By registering you confirm that you are an adult.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens in your account. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication (2FA) in settings.
- If you suspect that someone else has accessed your account, change your password immediately, revoke the suspicious sessions in settings and report it to us at support@groworth.xyz.
- Registration requires a valid email address — without it, password recovery and security notifications cannot work.
5.The free tier and paid subscriptions
In short: the core features are free forever, no card required. Pro costs €5 a month, Elite €8.99 a month, Friends €17.99 a month; the yearly plan is cheaper. Existing subscribers get 30 days' notice of any price change.
- The free tier. The core features — budget, transactions, goal and XP — are available free of charge, with no time limit and without adding a payment card. The free tier is not a trial that runs out.
- The Pro subscription costs €5 per month (VAT included) and unlocks additional features — for example, extra themes, multiple goals, extended reports, planned payments and up to 3 connected bank accounts.
- The Elite subscription costs €8.99 per month (VAT included): everything in Pro plus higher caps — for example, up to 5 connected bank accounts and unlimited portfolio positions.
- The Friends subscription costs €17.99 per month (VAT included): one payer, up to four seats, Pro features for everyone.
- Manual accounts and CSV import are free and unlimited on every tier. Only connected bank accounts are capped (free 0, Pro 3, Elite 5), because each of them costs us money.
- The current feature split and yearly prices are shown on the pricing page and in the app.
- Language is never a paid feature. The interface language is and will remain available to everyone free of charge.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices by notifying existing subscribers by email at least 30 days in advance. The new price takes effect in the next billing period after that notice period; if it does not suit you, you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect.
- The split of features between tiers may change; moving a significant feature from free to Pro will be announced the same way as material changes to these terms (see section 13).
6.Payments, cancellation and the right of withdrawal
In short: payments are processed by Stripe — your card details never reach us. You can cancel at any time; the subscription runs until the end of the paid period. Subscription payments are non-refundable — so try the free tier first, it has no time limit.
- Payment processor. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). The other party to your purchase is SIA Appmeway, which issues the invoice; the invoice is available in the Plan section after every payment. Where VAT applies by law, it is shown on the invoice. Your payment card details go only to Stripe and never reach our server.
- Billing period. The subscription renews automatically each month or year (depending on the chosen period) every month until you cancel it.
- Cancellation. You can cancel the subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period — until then the Pro features remain available and no new charge is taken. Your account data is not deleted because you cancel; you simply return to the free tier.
- Right of withdrawal (14 days). As a consumer in the European Union you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Access to the Pro features begins immediately after payment — by completing the purchase, you expressly agree that provision of the service begins at once, and you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal for the service already provided thereby lapses in the manner set out in the applicable legislation.
- Refunds. Subscription payments are non-refundable. The reason is simple: every connected bank account costs us a licence fee from the day it is connected, so a paid period cannot be handed back. You can cancel at any time; the subscription then runs to the end of the paid period and nothing further is charged. Before you pay, try the free tier: it has no time limit and needs no card. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this clause.
- For withdrawal and refund questions, write to support@groworth.xyz — we reply within two working days.
7.Your data and content
In short: everything you enter belongs to you. We use it only to make the Service work for you — and you can export or delete it all at any time.
- All content you enter into the Service — transactions, categories, goals, notes — belongs to you. We acquire no ownership rights over it.
- You grant us only as much right to process this content as is needed to provide the Service to you: to store it, encrypt it, calculate totals, show you reports and make backups.
- You can download a full export of your data in JSON format in settings with one click; you can delete your account with all its content just as simply.
- For more on data processing, protection and your rights, see the Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for making sure that the content you enter does not break the law or infringe third parties' rights (for example, do not enter other people's data without a legal basis).
8.Acceptable use
In short: use the Service for your own finance tracking and do not interfere with others. Attacks, break-in attempts and abuse are not acceptable.
When using the Service, you undertake:
- not to attempt to access other users' data or accounts;
- not to do anything that deliberately overloads or disrupts the Service (denial-of-service attacks, automated bulk requests, circumventing security mechanisms);
- not to attempt to bypass access restrictions, the free/Pro boundary or the bot protection;
- not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, including to disguise the laundering of criminally obtained funds;
- not to place malicious code or content in the Service.
If we find a material breach of these terms — in particular attacks on the Service or attempts to interfere with other users' data — we may restrict or close the account. Before closing it, we will send a notice to the account email describing the breach, except where immediate action is needed to protect other users or the Service. Closure of an account for abuse does not cancel your right to receive an export of your data, unless the law requires otherwise.
9.Price data and third-party information
In short: asset prices come from public sources, are informational and may be delayed. Never make a trading decision based only on a number in our chart.
- The Service obtains investment portfolio prices from public sources — CoinGecko (crypto-assets), DexScreener (decentralised exchange tokens), Yahoo Finance (securities) and the European Central Bank (exchange rates).
- Crypto wallet balances are read from public blockchain nodes using the public address you provide. They are view-only: the Service never asks for private keys, cannot transact on your behalf, and is not responsible for the availability of blockchain nodes or the accuracy of their data. A token without a market price may not be shown, or may be shown without a value.
- This data is refreshed periodically, not in real time — it may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and the sources may change their data content or availability without warning.
- Price data in the Service serves informational and record-keeping purposes only. It is not suitable for executing trades, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it alone.
- Bank data synchronisation too refreshes in batches a few times a day (that is how Europe's PSD2 banking infrastructure works) — not in real time, and we do not promise otherwise.
10.Account closure and deletion
In short: you can leave at any time, in one click, with all your data taken along or deleted — no questions asked and no "retention" tricks.
- You can delete your account at any time in settings — one click, all content, irreversibly. Before that, you can download a full data export. Deletion timelines for backups are described in the Privacy Policy.
- We can close an account for a material breach of these terms (see section 8) — with notice.
- If the Service were ever shut down entirely, we would give at least 30 days' notice and make data export possible up to the closing day. Any unused paid period would be refunded proportionally.
11.Availability and limitation of liability
In short: we do everything we can to make the Service work well, but we provide it "as is". Your financial decisions are yours. Our liability does not exceed what you paid in the last 12 months — and nothing here limits your mandatory consumer rights.
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We strive for uninterrupted operation, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available without interruptions and errors — maintenance work, infrastructure failures and the unavailability of third-party sources may temporarily affect its operation.
- The Service is a record-keeping tool: all financial decisions made on the basis of the information shown in it are your own decisions and your own responsibility (see also section 3).
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claims connected with the Service is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months before the grounds for the claim arose (for a free user — €0, to the extent the law allows).
- We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profit or loss of data arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that may not be limited by law — including liability for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence — and nothing limits your mandatory rights as a consumer under Latvian and EU consumer protection law.
12.Intellectual property
In short: your data is yours; the app itself, its design and code — ours.
The Service, its software, design, texts, logo and the name "Groworth" belong to the Service's operator and are protected by intellectual property rights. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service in accordance with these terms. That does not extend to your content — it belongs to you (see section 7).
13.Changes to these terms
In short: we will announce material changes by email at least 14 days in advance. If the new terms are not acceptable to you, you can leave with all your data.
These terms may change — for example, when prices or the app's features change. Material changes — ones that change your rights, obligations or the price — will be announced to your account email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, we take that as your agreement to them; if you do not agree, you can export your data and delete your account before then. Editorial corrections with no change of substance may happen without a separate announcement. Each version's date and number is shown at the top and bottom of the page.
14.Governing law and disputes
In short: Latvian law. First we try to settle things by talking; a consumer also has PTAC and the EU dispute platform; the last resort is a Latvian court.
- These terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer in another EU country, this does not deprive you of the protection granted by the mandatory consumer-law rules of your country of residence.
- Talk first. If something is wrong, write to us at support@groworth.xyz — most disagreements can be resolved in a single exchange of emails.
- Consumer disputes. If we cannot reach an agreement, a consumer may turn to the Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs (PTAC, the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Centre, ptac.gov.lv) and to the Patērētāju strīdu risināšanas komisija (the Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission).
- EU online dispute resolution. The European Commission's dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- If a dispute cannot be resolved out of court, it is to be heard by a court of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with the rules on jurisdiction.
Invitation programme
In short: the invitee pays half for the first month, the inviter receives one month of credit. Rewards only for real payments.
A user on a paid plan has a personal invitation link. A person who creates an account through that link and subscribes to a monthly plan receives a 50 % discount on the first month. When they pay their first invoice, the inviter receives credit equal to one month of their own plan, applied automatically to their next invoice. Credit is not paid out in cash and cannot be transferred to another account. If the invitee's payment is refunded within 14 days, the credit is reversed. There is no cap on the number of months credited. You cannot invite yourself; artificially created accounts earn no credit. We may change or end the programme with notice in the app; credit already granted remains valid.
